Anni Laihanen

Anni has been a UK NCP since July 2020. She keeps the UK’s Social Sciences & Humanities community.
(SSH) community informed of European funding opportunities and how best to engage with these.

Previously Anni worked in Brussels and at the University of Bath in research project management, where she was involved with various EU and UK funded projects.

New European £2.3 billion research fund for social sciences/humanities

Horizon Europe - opportunities for social scientists and humanities researchers. Funding for advancing scientific knowledge in the fields of social sciences and humanities falls under Cluster 2 – ‘Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society.

This Cluster 2 funds collaborative, challenge-led research within the following research areas: enhancing democratic governance and citizens participation, safeguarding and promoting cultural heritage, and responding to and shaping multifaceted social, economic, technological and cultural transformations.
