Zoë is Director of AI and Data Economy at Innovate UK. She leads a team of experts working to identify, support and accelerate business innovation in the UK, based on cutting-edge AI and data research and technology.
Zoë has a computer science background and a PhD in artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Innovate UK, she worked in industry to develop and demonstrate machine learning and information filtering algorithms for a range of applications including health and retail.
Zoë joined Innovate UK (then Technology Strategy Board) in 2007 as a Technologist focused on ICT. Since then, she has held the roles of Head of Enabling Technologies, Head of High Value Manufacturing, Head of Resource Portfolio and Deputy Director – Strategy.
